The residents of Albert Square are busy preparing for Sharon and Dennis’s wedding. However, not everyone is as happy as the excited couple. Chrissie is quietly planning her escape and Sam is seething … until she decides upon a course of action.
Elsewhere, Kat asks Alfie to announce that they are getting back together but is disappointed when he makes another excuse.
Tuesday, August 30
A sense of absolute shock looms over the Square. Chrissie tries desperately to get into the Queen Vic to collect her passport and tickets but she is horrified to discover they have been torn up. However, she doesn’t leave the Queen Vic empty handed.
Elsewhere, a drunken Sam is revelling in the fact that she has finally stitched Chrissie up.
Thursday, September 01
The market is cordoned off as the police continue their investigation. Chrissie tries to confront Kat but Kat refuses to listen until Zoë’s name is mentioned. Chrissie attempts to broker a deal with Kat.
Convinced that the police will believe her word over Chrissie’s, Sam tells her brief that she intends to tell the whole truth.
Friday, September 02
Sharon is incredulous at Chrissie’s arrest. Chrissie pleads her innocence to the police and plays the perfect victim, feigning disbelief that Sam would have the gall to use her to cover for her own husband’s murder.
Elsewhere, Charlie berates Stacey for giving a false alibi for Zoë while Kat impresses the seriousness of her lying to cover for Zoë.
Meanwhile, Sam is terrified at the prospect of going down for murder.
